The directors and technicians who had came out of MACTA will announce their new federation by the 16th of this month.It is heard that this new federation will not have characters of the trade union with it and will be one that will cater to the general needs of all in the business.
Meanwhile, the MACTA has reconstituted its director's union , from which 38 directors had tendered their resignation.The new union will have Mohan as their president and veteran director Balu kiriyath as its secretary.
The general secretary of AMMA , Superstar Mohanlal confirmed that he never had any talks with MACTA or Vinayan and will support all those directors who had came out of the federation.''AMMA will never support anyone or any organisation who had always tried to call bans and prevent filmmakers from producing cinema in this crisis plaguing film industry.This is one organisation which even created a lot of problems to films like Calcutta news which were shooting in difficult conditions among floods in Calcutta.We are supporting ''the directors who had come out of MACTA ''and the ''producers association'' who has announced its wholesome support to these directors. '' stated Mohanlal.
